P.R.I.D.E. Mentor Program

The goal of the P.R.I.D.E. Mentor program is to help at-risk youths function more successfully and productively within the larger community. By matching young people with professionally trained mentors, the program gives youths an opportunity to develop independent living skills within a warm, nurturing relationship.

Mentors are dedicated, caring, mature, and responsible individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. They are trained to empower, respect, encourage, and empathize with youths, helping them to make positive decisions. Their loving guidance nurtures and grows the self-esteem of the youths they mentor. The program recruits mentors from local communities, and they undergo a thorough security check.
