Ironbound Emergency Shelter

The Ironbound Emergency Shelter provides temporary housing for single women from Essex County. In addition to providing assistance with locating permanent housing, the program offers women an opportunity to restructure their daily activities, to develop the skills necessary to obtain gainful employment, and ultimately to put their lives back together. Residents have access to support groups, computer training, job search and placement referrals, literacy programs, and instruction in life-skills preparation.
