Mount Carmel Guild Little Schoolhouse is an early-care and education center for children who are 3 years old and reside in the city of Elizabeth. The program offers a flexible schedule and is open 10 hours a day to meet the needs of working parents. An experienced staff strives to make each child's first school experience a positive and enjoyable one in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.
Mount Carmel Guild Little Schoolhouse is a subcontracted center with the Elizabeth Board of Education and the Department of Human Services/Division of Family Development. Through participation in the Snuggles Get-well program, children who are mildly ill can relax comfortably at the Center under the care of a health-care professional while their parents meet employment obligations. This unique program enables parents to feel confident that their child is receiving top-quality care while away from home. Mount Carmel Guild Little Schoolhouse is fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation's largest and most influential organization of early-childhood educators dedicated to improving the quality of programs for young children.
