Catholic Charities Hosts "Dress for Success" Fashion Show

NEWARK, N.J. (SEptember 11, 2007) — Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark and its Dress for Success program will host a special fashion show on Friday, September 21, 2007, at the New Jersey Historical Society, located at 52 Park Place in Newark.

The fashion show will feature “Models of Success” — women who have benefited from the programs offered by Dress for Success, which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional apparel and assistance with career training and development. The show will begin at 6 p.m.

“We are delighted to be hosting our first fashion show,” said Tina Greene, director of Dress for Success, which Catholic Charities operates as part of its Workforce Development Program. “Although the runway will feature professional models showcasing the latest fashions, the real stars of the show are our Models of Success. These are strong, independent women who are ready to face the challenges of a professional career.”

Tickets to the show are $30, and all proceeds benefit the Dress for Success program. To learn more or to purchase tickets, contact Tina Greene, at (973) 268-3160.
